About
Divergent Dads

I built this because I'm a neurodivergent dad too, and most generic parenting advice doesn't fit how ND brains actually work. This site is practical, direct and built for real life.

No spam. No hype.
Just practical resources you can actually use.

Divergent Dads

About

What this is (and what it isn't)

Divergent Dads is a practical resource hub for neurodivergent fathers—covering ADHD, autism, AuDHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory differences, executive function, emotional regulation and more.

Practical first

Tools you can use today: scripts, checklists, routines and simple frameworks that survive real family life.

No guilt, no fluff

No “just try harder.” No hype. No moralising. If it isn't usable, it doesn't belong here.

Respectful support

This isn't medical advice or therapy. It's practical support, shared in a clear, respectful adult way.

The Mission

Why I built this

A lot of parenting content assumes consistency, unlimited capacity and a calm nervous system. If you're neurodivergent, you might be parenting through sensory overload, executive dysfunction, sleep debt, emotional intensity and shame spirals—while still trying to show up as a good dad.

Divergent Dads exists to make things simpler: clearer language, realistic expectations and practical steps you can repeat.

  • Built for ND brains: short sections, clear steps and practical examples
  • No therapy-speak, no judgment and no “just try harder”
  • Focused on stability, repair and progress—not perfection

Who this is for

Neurodivergent fathers at any stage—diagnosed, self-identified or still figuring it out. Whether you're thriving or barely holding it together, you're welcome here.

  • Dads with ADHD, autism, AuDHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or related traits
  • Dads who feel overloaded, reactive or stuck in “all-or-nothing” cycles
  • Dads who want practical tools, not generic advice

What to expect

How the site is built

Articles are written to be skimmable and usable. When a topic is complex, I'll break it into steps and examples—not theory.

As the site grows, I'll add templates, checklists, guides, directories and community features based on what dads actually need.
